Karen was on cloud nine after finding out that they would finally be moving to a new and bigger space. Still, they had to wait a little bit before moving in. Karen Derrico cannot wait anymore to move to her new home. Deon has been keeping the big news from his wife for 5 years. But now she wanted every new update of their new home. Deon recently took the Doubling Down With The Derricos star to their unfinished home on Valentine’s Day. He surprised his wife with Valentine’s Day gifts and flowers before she could say something.
Karen flashed a fake smile on her face. Finally, her husband asked her why she was pretending to grin. Karen admitted, “I just expected more from the house like more closer to being ready.” She felt that the new home had not made enough progress and suggested pastel blue walls. The TLC star felt like they were at ground zero.
However, Deon didn’t like the answer and stated that it was the reason he never took her to his real estate jobs. He continued, “Because you don’t have the vision,” Meanwhile, Karen chimed that they weren’t living in their real estate jobs. She just wanted to hear that the house was finished and they were ready to get moving. Deon decided to give his wife a reality check.
He opened up about all kinds of issues going on in the house, including black mold. Karen freaked out after knowing about the big issues. She stated, “Mold!? Why didn’t you tell me about the mold?.” Further, Deon told his wife that he had hired a company to solve the issue, as he didn’t want to put them in a dangerous situation. Sadly, Karen wasn’t in the mood to listen and felt hurt that her husband didn’t tell her anything.
