The fans first saw this anime on July 4, 2019. It ran for only twelve episodes which ended on September 19, 2019. The makers adapted the story of the LN series into a manga as well.

Ekachi Epilka produced the debut season of the anime series. It was their only second and the most-recent show. Ever since the completion of the show’s debut season back in 2019, the fans have been waiting for the studio to provide an update on its following installment.
Some rumors are claiming that the show has already been renewed by Ekachi Epilka. However, he never confirmed anything. The final moment of the inaugural season of the anime said, “to be continued,” which is hinting that there will be Demon Lord Retry Season 2. Besides that, there is no official confirmation from its makers.
Is There Enough Source Material?
Just like several other shows, this isekai anime also follows an LN series. The main reason behind producing the anime show was to promote its source material. The first version of the LN series has only three volumes which ended back in 2018. Whereas the second reprinted version of the series has six volumes, and the seventh one will come out on February 27, 2021.
