Days of Our Lives: Production Suspended
The Peacock team suspended DOOL’s production in the wake of recent allegations against the Days of Our Lives co-executive producer. As Deadline reports that the suspension was initially done for one week but now it has been extended. It will likely start filming from at least August 7, 2023. Since Alarr has received backlash from DOOL’s cast and crew, this pause was rather expected. Since Albert was scheduled to direct the Friday episode, the newest progress in the case has led to a sudden pause and has affected the staff.
Further, Deadline reports that Alarr has not been seen on Days of Our Lives sets in the past few months. We are unsure if it is due to the investigation or the writer’s strike. However, after Sony Pictures Television conducted an impartial investigation, Corday Productions revealed that they had taken a series of actions to ensure a respectful and safe environment on the sets.
Allegations On Albert Alarr
Since the co-exec’s behavior has been made public, many actors are voicing their opinions. Lisa Rinna sighed that she couldn’t believe the work environment. She mentioned how disgusting and shocking it was to work with him. Along with her, Peter Reckell tweeted about how disturbing the news is. He said that Days of Our Lives is the show which receives immense love and respect. So, Reckell hoped that we’d see its past values again without such people ruining it.
The investigation on the producer of DOOL was done after learning that, suddenly, seven people were let go of the soap. Also, most of them were women, and they accused Alarr of misbehaving and making inappropriate comments. They also complained that he has a habit of groping and forcefully kissing the female casts, which led to a toxic work environment. Therefore, the soap decided to pause production to get things in place. But we will have to wait to see what happens next here. Stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers for more Days of Our Lives updates.
