Days of Our Lives spin-off, Beyond Salem did quite a number with its two seasons on the streaming app Peacock. So much so that it acted as a catalyst for NBC to move its sole remaining daily soap from the network channel to Peacock too. Recently, Beyond Salem and Days of Our Lives had a crossover when the young heartthrobs of the spin-off landed in Salem.
Johnson brothers Tripp and Joey entered Days of Our Lives to support their father while their stepmom was fighting for her life. Meanwhile, the brother’s mutual love interest Wendy too, was shown in Salem, visiting her brother. Fans will remember that back in the day in Seattle, Tripp and Tanner were both trying to win Wendy’s attention. However, neither of the brothers succeeded.
Moreover, when the news broke of the trip entering Days of Our Lives, fans speculated that the brothers would indeed get a second chance at wooing Wendy. Perhaps, with better results this time. Unfortunately, none of it happened. In fact, the latest rumors suggest that actor Tanner Stine’s time as a cast member on Days of Our Lives has reached its end. Tanner’s character Joey will now be shown leaving Salem.

And that just leaves us scratching our heads! We mean, what really was the point, though? Why tease a juicy love triangle, have all the right pieces in the right place, and then, poof! Nothing! Game over! It really makes no sense. We can’t seem to understand why they would write it like that. If they really had to remove Joey from the equation, they could’ve just let Wendy choose the other brother! That would have made sense and a better watch for the viewers!
We really hope they find a way to tie up loose ends, so it all starts to make some sense on Days of Our Lives and Beyond Salem.
