Days of Our Lives: Last week when Greg Vaughan came to Salem to reprise his role as Eric, all fans started hoping that maybe this time he would have come to stay for long. However, it doesn’t look like that is the case. It’s time Vaughan leaves again.
When Greg left the soap last year, he called his stint on the soap a “glorified extra in everybody else’s storyline.” Back in the time, he said that he was promised many things, but nothing became a reality. He didn’t feel that he was getting the things that he was promised. However, when he announced that he would be coming back to Salem, everyone hoped that he and producers would have started seeing eye-to-eye. But it doesn’t look like that is the case. Because he will be leaving Salem this week.
This Monday, as Eric and Nicole celebrated their anniversary, Xander came in and blew everything off. Sami had paid him $1 million, to tell the truth about his one-night-stand with Nicole. Initially, Eric did not believe it. But later on, when Nicole herself confessed, he didn’t have any other option but to believe everything. After that, Eric was heartbroken. And now, he will feel like he has no other option but to leave.
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Eric and Nicole will get into an emotional confrontation about their marriage. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Arianne Zucker, who plays Nicole on the soap opera, reveals that a lot is happening emotionally between these two characters. The fact that Eric stayed away in Africa doing what he loves has put a lot of strain on his relationship with Nicole.
So, even though what Nicole did wasn’t the best thing, what Eric did was not good either. As a result, there is a lot of conflict in Nicole’s heart. She did not get married to be estranged by her husband. But he left her and went away. So, Nicole is having trouble handling the lack of love and support from his physical absence. So, now all of that is just surfacing.
As for Eric, he has decided to leave Salem and head back to Africa. And, Nicole knows that he is leaving. Now speaking to him isn’t about making him stay, but it is about trying to communicate with him and then see what happens after that, which will be him leaving. After Eric leaves, Nicole really has nothing to lose. She will go after Sami with everything she has left.
Spoilers suggest that Philip will help Nicole by telling him about Sami and Lucas’s affair secret. So, Sami better watch out. Eric going away is indeed sad news for all his fans.
