It looks like Days of Our Lives is revisiting a rather legendary and notorious storyline soon. Recently, NBC released a teaser trailer that reveals that a supernatural or a Satanic spirit will be heading to Salem. And whatever this is, it will be heading towards Brady’s pub. NBC captioned the video with “Something wicked is coming to Salem.” So, all the Days of Our Lives fans gear up.
Long time Days of Our Lives viewers would recall that this storyline first began in 1944. Stefano DiMera had begun hypnotizing Marlena. This made her fall in love with her. Not only that, that also left her open for demonic possessions, and ultimately, Marlena became possessed by the devil. Later on, in 1944, something really shocking happened, and Marlena levitated.
Then, later on in 1995, this Satan storyline was revisited. This time the story focused on John Black. John was thought to be a priest back then, and he had to perform an emergency exorcism. It looks a similar storyline will be revisited but will Marlena be the target this time too? It seems less likely. What will happen?
Days Of Our Lives: Who Will Be At The Target This Time?
Now that we know that this Satanic storyline is being revisited again, we can’t help but wonder who will be the target. One name that just pops in our heads is Doug Williams. Days of Our Lives viewers would have noticed that Doug has been acting really weird lately. First, he locked his wife Julie Williams in the deep freezer. He looked straight into her eyes and walked off. But later on, he had no memory of it at all. Not only this, Doug couldn’t recall Alice Horton’s name either. That was indeed a matter of concern. Topping it all, as Soap Dirt points, it looks like Days of Our Lives have inserted a little Easter egg where Doug ate the Devil’s Food Cake. So, could his storyline be connected to this demonic storyline? It looks like so.
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Roman will be able to convince Julie to take her husband to the hospital. Right now, she is in denial, but she will soon have to believe all of it, and she might take him to Salem University Hospital. DOOL spoilers suggest that when they reach there, Kayla will assure Julie and run some tests on Doug. She will not only run physical tests but some mental tests too. However, she might find it hard to find anything. But when things go down the hill rather fast, Julie will start looking for other options.
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Julie might talk to Marlena and hope that she could help. Marlena will soon sense something. Who would figure out that Doug is possessed if not her? She has been caught up in all of this before. So, she might soon realize this demonic possession and come up with a solution. How will this storyline roll out? We will have to wait to know. Could Doug really be possed? Only time will tell.
How Are Fans Reacting?
Doug being possessed is one of our assumptions. At this point, there is no confirmation on who will get possessed or how this storyline will pan out. However, it looks like Days of Our Lives viewers have some ideas. Most of the DOOL fans believe that if this devil storyline is revisited, Marlena will be on the receiving end of it. A fan says that seeing the video, they think it is possessed Marlena‘s laugh. The fan says that this will all be really interesting to see. Since Johnny is planning a movie out of this incident, so, they are looking forward to it.
Another fan says that With this development, they are super excited. A third fan says that they can’t wait to see MARDEVIL!!
