Former Coronation Street alum Ellie Leach has transitioned to the theatres, marking her debut in the comedic production Cluedo 2. Soap viewers know the actress for her portrayal of Faye Windass. Now, she is all set to step into the role of Miss Scarlett. 

Let us tell you that Helen Flanagan initially played the stage role, but the she had to leave owing to medical issues. But then the soap star wowed audiences with her stage debut at Richmond Theatre before going on the show’s tour. The stage crew’s next stop is Woking’s New Victoria Theatre.

Coronation Street actress stood for the camera in promotional photos with co-star Jason Durr, who embodies the character Colonel Mustard. The 22-year-old radiated confidence in a vibrant red sleeveless mini dress, holding a candlestick and a big smile.

A while ago, Ellie announced the project. She quoted, “After an incredible year, I’m so excited to join the cast of Cluedo 2.” She added that she is very happy and can’t wait to work with Jason and the talented cast. Additionally, the actress, popularly known as the Strictly Come Dancing winner, bravely confronted the trolling about her appearance.

In a message to her online followers, the Coronation Street fame penned, “As people in the public eye, we are exposed to a lot of people having opinions, whether that’s opinions on your personality or – a lot of the time – opinions on the way you look.” She expressed her sadness over hurtful comments and emphasised the importance of kindness and positivity. 

Fortunately, fellow actress Helen Flanagan (Rosie Webster) came in support of her. A source confirmed that Helen has personally reached out to Ellie. The statement added, “She’s been a tower of strength for Ellie – telling her to rise above it all and that she will get through this.”
