Channique Sterling-Brown On Real-Life Friendship On Set

Coronation Street actress Channique Sterling-Brown spilled the beans about her awesome friendships behind the scenes. The actress has been playing Dee-Dee Bailey on the ITV soap. During Corrie’s ‘Women of Weatherfield’ photoshoot, she discussed her bonds with her co-stars.

When asked about her mentor on the soap, she exclaimed, “Every single one!” She especially mentioned how Lorna Laidlaw (Aggie Bailey) had been a significant mentor for her. She expressed gratitude for the lessons she had learned from her. Moreover, the actress emphasised the supportive nature of all the women on Coronation Street.

The soap actress added, “I truly value every single person in this cast.”

When asked about her favourite female Coronation Street legend throughout the years, Sterling-Brown took Sue Nicholls’s name, who plays Audrey Roberts. She described Nicholls as always ‘glam, fun, and exciting.’ She doesn’t forget to mention that Sue is even more amazing in real life.

The star recounted an incident during her audition when Sue walked past her, and she couldn’t help but internally scream, “Oh my god, it’s Audrey!” She then expressed how Sue is definitely one of her favorite Corrie female icons.
