Coronation Street Star Georgia Taylor Teases A ‘Betrayal’ Ahead
Leanne Battersby is getting increasingly involved with the creepy cult, the Institute, led by Rowan Cunliffe. However, according to Coronation Street spoilers, Toyah Battersby isn’t ready to lose her to this strange group. Georgia Taylor (Toyah) mentioned that her character had a strong suspicion early on that cult.
Currently, Leanne is becoming emotionally distant from both Toyah and Nick. Despite Leanne’s toughness, she is known for her loyalty and love for her sister. Toyah desperately tries to make Leanne see how harmful the Institute is, but Rowan’s grip on her is too strong.
Coronation Street spoilers confirm that the cult is hitting back hard, even suing Toyah for defamation over her online posts. Things get deeply personal when Toyah discovers that Leanne told Rowan about her heartbreaking past of burying her stillborn baby, Rose.
Toyah is quite sure Rowan reported this to the police. Next week, she receives a delivery of yellow roses and realizes it’s a menacing message from him. This incident further strains the relationship between Toyah and Leanne.
Georgia says, “It feels like the ultimate betrayal because when Toyah’s at her most vulnerable, she still feels like her sister’s not there for her.’ The actress recalls being ‘sickened’ the moment she got the script. According to Coronation Street spoilers, she finds it frustrating that, except for Nick, no one seems to listen to Toyah.
Actress Teases Rowan’s ‘Downfall’
The soap star imagines how exhausting it must be for her character, who feels like she is hitting her head against a brick wall. She is especially struggling with dealing with the stress of arranging Rose’s burial. Georgia expressed that soap opera villains always get their comeuppance eventually.
Coronation Street spoilers say that Rowan will face his downfall soon. The soap star looks forward to it being a massive, dramatic, and humiliating moment. She believes it would be an exciting scene to play. Meanwhile, Taylor hopes the storyline doesn’t wrap up too quickly because she enjoys working with Emrhys Cooper (Rowan).
She mentioned that the intense stand-offs with him are incredibly engaging. She also noted that Emrhys is a pleasure to work with and a genuinely nice person off-set.
