Coronation Street Actress Sue Cleaver Teases Her Return
Coronation Street fans always had this one unanswered question in their mind: where Eileen Grimshaw actress Sue Cleaver actually is. Finally, the soap star has revealed what led to her career break. Cleaver has been a part of Corrie family for over 23 years now. She recently shared about her health struggles and more on Kate Thornton’s podcast ‘White Wine Question Time.’
The Coronation Street star disclosed she had multiple setbacks this year. However, she is doing better now. She confessed, “I’ve had a pretty rubbish year. It started off with a hysterectomy and kind of went downhill from then – all out of the blue, weird stuff.” The soap star was even in A & E and intensive care. Sue admitted that her past six months were very challenging.
But the good news is, Cleaver is finally returning to Coronation Street soon after being away for more than seven months. The actress confirmed that the show has been wonderful and supporting. She expressed, “I’m raring to go. I’m back.” Additionally, Sue will be seen in theatres, too. She is playing the role of Mother Superior in Sister Act The Musical next month.
While talking about her theatre role, the soap actress shared that she is thrilled to join the tour. She added, “ It’s been over 30 years since I’ve been on stage, but theatre has always been my first love.
