Coronation Street star Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) gets all teared up on a live show while disclosing about her dad David’s terminal cancer battle. The actress’s father was diagnosed with prostate cancer diagnosis back in 2021. Since then, she kept her fans updated about his condition. Kym appeared on BBC’s Morning Live with her father and mother to raise awareness about the disease. In a pre-recorded clip, Kym said, “I wouldn’t want to see anyone else go through this. I get more emotional than my dad does; he’s so strong it’s unbelievable.”
The Coronation Street Michelle Connor actress informed that they have stopped her Dad’s treatment as his cancer has spread to the bones. She mentioned that his illness has worsened to the point where they have been told to cherish every moment spent with him. Gethin curiously asked, “I know you’ve been spending quite a lot of time with your dad recently. It’s because you’ve had some bad news, haven’t you?” Kym replied, “Yes, his latest scan results show that there are more cancer deposits up his spine now.” She added, “They are doing scans to see if it’s gone into any more of his bones, but they can’t offer him chemotherapy.”
Kym broke down while concluding her words. She said that, for now, they are just spending a lot of time with him, making memories. She shared, “ We went out on Halloween and he’s just been enjoying time with family.” The host comforted, “Still, he’s always smiling. We send him all our love, and hopefully, we’ll see him very soon.” Kym’s dad certainly seems like a very strong person. All the strength to him and his whole family.
