Coronation Street Star’s Terrifying Encounter With An Escort Revealed

Coronation Street legend John Savident recently left the world at the age of 86. His agent confirmed his death by releasing an official statement. It said, “We are sad to announce the death of the actor John Savident, who died on Wednesday 21st February.” However, an incident of being stabbed by an escort left his fandom shocked. 

According to reports, back in the 2000s, the Fred Elliott actor was gravely injured in the neck. The incident took place in Manchester when he was meeting an escort at a bar. The Coronation Street star ended up losing a lot of blood. Additionally, Michael Smith received a seven-year prison as a legal consequence.

During the week-long trial at Manchester Crown Court, it was revealed that during their initial meeting at Napoleon’s bar, Michael had deceived John into believing he was a drama student. Subsequently, at John’s flat, the two conversed until the early hours of the following day. 

The Coronation Street actor recounted during the trial that he had retired to his bedroom to charge his phone when he was forcibly pushed and shoved onto his bed by Michael. He even held a knife to his throat. John described feeling a sudden sensation. Michael’s menacing remark, “I bet you have never met a schizo before,” heightened John’s fear.

Following the attack, John urgently contacted emergency services. He implored them to keep the incident out of the media . Soon after, he returned to filming.
