Coronation Street Former’s New TV Project Revealed
Chris Gascoyne, famous for playing Peter Barlow, is back on our screens after taking a break from Coronation Street last December. He is now set to shine in a brand-new Channel 5 six-part series called The Feud. It’s his first gig since his soap departure.
According to reports, the filming has kicked off in Newcastle and is set to hit screens in 2025. The series stars Jill Halfpenny from EastEnders, who’ll be playing Emma Barnett. There’s more star power- Coronation Street former will be sharing the screen with Larry Lamb, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, James Fleet, and Amy Nuttall.
The plot revolves around Emma and John Barnett’s seemingly perfect life on Shelbury Drive with their daughter Beth and awesome neighbors. It looks like nothing could go wrong. However, Trouble brews when they decide to spruce up their kitchen.
The synopsis reveals that unexpected skeletons and life-threatening secrets begin to surface with time. Emma’s dream takes a wild turn into obsession and paranoia. A single decision sets off a chain reaction with consequences nobody saw coming. In the thriller, the Coronation Street actor will be playing Lee, an “intimidating” builder.
Additionally, Nuttall and Fearon shine as Sonia and Alan. And Fleet and Peake-Jones play the adorable older couple, Derek and Barbara. Lamb steps in as Emma’s ‘wheeler-dealer’ dad Terry, with O’Donnell playing the PC Gallagher. Let us see what magic they bring to the screen.
