Coronation Street Makers Reveals Lauren’s Future
In the next week of Coronation Street, Shona Platt gets tired of Lauren Bolton’s phone use. When Shona finds Lauren at the station instead of her call center work, Lauren claims she switched shifts. Later, Lauren gifts Max Turner a new watch. Max is overwhelmed but worries she spent too much. He returns the watch and says he can’t accept it since it’s too generous.
Bernie Winter tells Shona about the missing £80 from the café. Shona quickly accuses Lauren of stealing the money to buy the watch. In revenge, Lauren tells Shona she doesn’t need the work because her boyfriend is rich. Max and Sabrina bring cake and cider to Lauren’s flat.
Recently, Coronation Street producer Iain MacLeod previewed Lauren’s rocky future. Lauren joined Weatherfield in 2022. Lauren has worked at Roy’s Rolls since, but she blackmailed Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor about their affair this month. Ryan was outraged to learn that Lauren had been posting footage on O-Vidz to get money and reported her out of duty despite her threats.
Coronation Street boss hinted at Lauren’s future and said, “There’s definitely more to come from her; she’ll have quite a big role to play next year. We’ll see a complexity to her character that maybe we weren’t aware of until now.” When asked about the further storyline, Iain said: “We’ll see her get to be in quite a romantic set of stories.
