In the coming episodes, Bethany is on a mission to prove that Nathan Curtis is behind the teen’s murder, all because her mom set him up. She gets outreach worker Nicky Wheatley to arrange a meeting with victim Ellie. According to Coronation Street spoilers, Bethany wants to know if Nathan abused Ellie, too.
As the journalist meets Ellie, she shares her own traumatic story about getting abused by Nathan to gain Ellie’s trust. Then she shows Ellie a picture of Nathan to assure that he was the man who hurt her and was involved with Lauren. But unfortunately, Ellie refuses.
The girl says her mom is ill and knowing this would kill her. Coronation Street spoilers suggest that she wouldn’t even consider going to the police. Now, poor Bethany has no choice but to leave. Nevertheless, as Bethany leaves, the terrifying truth comes out when Joel steps out of the bathroom.
He grabs Ellie by the neck and says, “I’ve got to hand it to you. The mum line was a lovely touch. You did the right thing calling me.” Then he gives her some cash and creepily watches Bethany leave from the window, saying, “Bye-bye Bethany.” Later, as per Coronation Street spoilers, Bethany meets Joel at the pub.
