Coronation Street is about to get dramatic just around Christmas because young Joseph is in a life-threatening situation, which makes people think that someone is trying to hurt him on purpose. Gemma tops the suspect list due to her past behaviour. As more accusations are made against Gemma, things get more complicated at a family holiday gathering. Coronation Street: Who Poisoned Joseph?
In Coronation Street, Gemma worries about her son Joseph as he complains of a headache. Genna immediately rushed the boy to A&E. Given that her brother Paul’s MND symptoms started mildly, she looked overly cautious. The doctor tells Chesney to rest because their boy is fine. In the later episodes of Coronation Street, when Joseph informs Gemma he’s sick, she follows the doctor’s instructions and doesn’t overreact. She sends Joseph to school, assuming he’ll feel better. Chesney is called later by the school to take up his sick son. After bringing Joseph home, Cheseney yells at Gemma for ignoring son’s health.
The next day, Joseph is no better, so Bernie suggests lavender tea as an alternate remedy. Gemma mixes the cocktail, and Joseph drinks it, then collapses. Chesney calls an ambulance, and Joseph is hospitalised. Chesney feels awful for not listening to Gemma when she stated Joseph was seriously ill, but the doctor comes out and drops shocking news. Doctors claim Joseph was poisoned. Even worse, Gemma is suspected of poisoning him because of her previous actions.
Later, in the upcoming episodes of Coronation Street, Bernie joins the family for a special ‘Christmas’ dinner to celebrate Paul’s likely last Christmas. As the festivities begin, Chesney arrives with Joseph and a child safety officer who wants to talk to Gemma about poisoning Joseph.
That certainly ruins the party mood. Sam worried that Gemma might poison Joseph. But he must walk carefully because unjustly accusing a loved one might lead to a deep hole.
