Coronation Street spoilers have confirmed that Summer Spellman is all set to bid farewell to Weatherfield. In the coming week, she will leave the cobbles to pursue studies in the US. This leaves her parents, Paul Foremen and Billy Mayhew, emotional.
Viewers must recall that Summer has had a rocky life. She even concealed an eating disorder, which resulted in a diabetes diagnosis. Soon after, she got herself involved in a surrogacy act for Mike and Esther Hargrave, only to be held captive by them later on. Additionally, she postponed her studies when her boyfriend assaulted her best friend, Amy Barlow.
Now, Coronation Street spoilers suggest that she is finally ready to start afresh. Previously, she was offered the chance in Boston but was afraid to take it. This is due to her reluctance to be apart from Paul in his last days, as he is battling Motor Neuron Disease (MND).
Paul, however, urges Summer to follow her heart the second he learns the truth. Billy Mayhew plans a family roast with Paul, Todd Grimshaw, and Bernie Winter, and he couldn’t be happier.
