Evelyn Plummer Is In Danger!
Coronation Street favourite Evelyn Plummer has gotten herself into danger, which could lead to her exit from the show. It’s because of the dog she rescued and brought home recently. She saved a dog from an owner who was treating her poorly. The moment she took her home, Home and Ruby fell in love and named her Talor after their favorite singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift.
Later, when Evelyn goes to the station, the owner of the dog follows her and makes inquiries about the dog. The Evelyn actress, Maureen Lipman, said, “He threatens Evelyn twice, and he is pretty dangerous and thuggish.” She added, “‘Evelyn’s obviously scared to her boots, but she’s not admitting that.’ Soon after, he warns Tyrone that he will face the consequences if he does not return Taylor by 6 pm.

Tyrone is so terrified that Evelyn considers returning the dog to her owner from Roy, who has taken Taylor to a rescue centre. The Coronation Street actress explained, “When he threatens to hurt Tyrone if she continues, it is a real dilemma as she is so fond of Tyrone. She realises she has to take a step back to protect her family.”
Evelyn To Expose An Illegal Puppy Farm, Coronation Street Star Maureen Lipman Explains
Evelyn Plummer is on a mission to expose an illegal puppy farm that she suspects is being run by Taylor’s man. As a devoted dog lover herself, Lipman emphasizes the importance of this storyline in Coronation Street. According to her, this storyline is throwing light on such a critical issue. She reveals that the show is collaborating with the RSPCA. She shares her shock at discovering that unregistered puppy farms are selling puppies for £2000 each.
The storyline aims to raise awareness about Lucy’s Law. The Coronation Street actress said, “There’s something called Lucy’s law, which means anyone wanting to get a new puppy or kitten in England must now buy direct from a breeder or consider adopting from a rescue center instead.” She added, “A lot of people are still unaware of this, especially with COVID when everyone was wanting dogs. It’s good that we are making more people aware.”

Amid her courageous efforts to save the dog, Evelyn faces the ruthless dog owner who, she fears, might report her to the police for stealing his dog. Will she succeed in discovering and reporting his illegal dog farm first? Or could this mark Evelyn’s surprising exit?
