After their explosive scenes on Coronation Street, Luca Toolan and Liam McCheyne confirmed their friendship status. The drama between Mason Radcliffe and Dylan Wilson escalated last night (November 22) when the former knifed Liam Connor. Toolan posted a happy picture of the trio on Instagram. He captioned the picture, “Heavy ep tonight, but an important one – so lucky to have shared it with these lads and PA @karenlouise1306.”
Coronation Street star McCheyne also shared a group photo on Twitter (X) and wrote, “I promise we’re mates, really! A vital story is being told. There are a few BTS pictures from tonight’s episode. But a huge thank you and well done to everyone involved who made these scenes what they were.” In an interview, Toolan shared about the tough moments and his tight bond with Wrenshall. The Mason Radcliffe actor revealed that the scene was really interesting. Corrie gave them a period to rehearse it with a fight director. He also mentioned that the director- Penny Shales, and Assistant Director- Dayle Evanskar, for these episodes were amazing.
The Coronation Street actor expressed that the best part was they had that space to experiment. He shared that the filming was nice since Charlie and he trusted each other. This allowed them to film in dark locations without feeling uncomfortable. He added, “It did get pretty dark. There were times before the scene where we decided not to speak to each other – we stayed in character because Charlie had to get to a very high emotional place.” As for how bad things can go, we’ll have to wait and see.
