Coronation Street has revealed its upcoming storyline for Lauren Bolton. Lauren Bolton, the ex-girlfriend of Max Turner, was raised by her father to join Griff Reynolds’s far-right extremist group. The makers have announced that Cait Fitton’s character will be seen playing a big role in 2024. Lauren’s fans are super excited about her future storyline. Coronation Street: Lauren Bolton’s Future Role Revealed
The producer of Coronation Street, Iain MacLeod, has announced what show has planned for Lauren Bolton in the year 2024. Coronation Street brought Cait Fitton as Lauren last year. This troubled character played a role in Max Turner’s far-right extremism storyline. In the summers, she made her comeback as a regular on the ITV show.
In the latest episodes of Coronation Street, we saw Ryan Connor and Lauren move into a flat at the Weatherfield Precinct. Later, the sweet friendship turned bitter. Ryan decided to move out, but Lauren forced him to stay. She blackmailed him using the fact that she knew he was having an affair with Daisy Midgeley. Now, the character is all ready for a huge role. In a press con, MacLeod stated, “There’s definitely more to come from her. She’ll have quite a big role to play next year.”
“Much More On The Way, Character Complexity Beyond Expectations”
The maker of Coronation Street, praising Cait, said, “She is absolutely marvellous.” He added that she is in the best style of those characters that make the viewers cry. As they move in with Roy or work in his café, it reminds MacLeod about Fiz and Becky McDonald. He believes Lauren fits that description very well.” He revealed that there’s much more to come.
MacLeod said, “We’ll see a complexity to her character that maybe we weren’t aware of. We’ll now explore all the different elements of Cait’s range.” Laurel is punchy and funny. While having a hard time, she will be in a lot of love stories. “There is more to come from Lauren as Roy’s next project and in her own right, ” the producer told Digital Spy.
Coronation star Cait explained that Lauren has always had an unstable life. From living with her dad in Griff’s flat, then with her mom, then on the streets, then in Audrey’s salon, then at Max’s and finally, she is in her own house. After getting her own flat, she wanted to find someone to share it with.
After going through a lot, Lauren just intends to be loved, but the most important thing is that she embraces herself. Ryan was indeed helping her with that. What do you think?
