Emmerdale Veteran Gillian Jephcott To Make An Appearance In Coronation Street
Do you remember the former Faith Dingle of Emmerdale? Actress Gillian Jephcott, who portrayed Chas and Cain’s mother from 2000 to 2004, is all set to make a debut as a newbie on Coronation Street. According to a spokesperson, Gillian will join as a character named Caitlin Edwards. However, her time on the show will only last four months. Her character is a social worker, and she will be a part of Bernie’s prison storyline.
Gilliam left the Emmerdale in 2004. Although her character returned in 2017, Sally Dexter was recast for the role. Later, the character died in 2022 of cancer. Additionally, this won’t be Gillian’s first time in Coronation Street. Back in 2001, she portrayed the character of a prison officer. She was assigned to care for Hayley Cropper following her imprisonment for the kidnapping of her foster child, Wayne Hayes.
Ever since she left the Dales, she has been caught up with multiple projects. She made her appearance in Doctors, Heartbeat, and Cutting It. The ITV star has been part of an on-stage production titled I Want That Hair. To surprise, Gillian is an established stage and radio actress, too.
