The Daniel Osbourne actor revealed the upcoming storyline for Rob Mallard. Rob said, “I think from Daniel’s point of view, Bethany’s return will definitely work in his favor. It could allow him to skip that grieving process of his and Daisy’s relationship and the cheating.” Mallard also shared that Bethany will be a temporary escape for Daniel. He added, “Ultimately, I do think the history between Daniel and Daisy will have to be resolved and come back to the fore again.”
Show Producer Macleod Hints At A ‘Classic Soap Story’
Coronation Street maker Iain MacLeod teased that upcoming storyline by calling it a ‘classic soap story.’ It is confirmed that Bethany and Daisy will fight over Daniel. In a press con, MacLeod said, “In the middle of this really very volatile cocktail arrives Bethany, who’s obviously got lots of history with Daniel. That very much sharpens Daisy’s focus in terms of how she feels about Daniel. Suddenly, there’s a romantic threat on the cards, and that recalibrates how Daisy feels about the whole enterprise.” He added, “It’s a really brilliant, classic soap story.”
The show maker aimed to create a timeless love triangle, similar to great affairs like Deirdre and Mike, without replicating anything. He stated, “It’s going to run deep into next year as all these unresolved feelings are buried, but like all good buried feelings, they all come back to the surface with a bang or two across the following 12 months.” So, are you excited about Daniel’s upcoming storyline?
