Coronation Street Forrmer Expresses Her Wish To Return On The Soap

A Coronation Street former, Sally Lindsay, recently revealed her wish to return to the soap. The Shelley Unwin actress was a part of the for long five years (2001-2006) and formed a strong platonic bond with co-star Suranne (Karen MacDonald). Her character made an exit after securing a new job in Peak District. However, she recently talked about how she wanted to make a comeback with Suranne, but the soap never approached them.

The Coronation Street former confirmed that she ‘loved every minute’  on the soap. She said, “Suranne and Jennifer James [Geena Gregory] are still my best friends – we just had a weekend away in Norfolk together.” She shared that they would’ve gone back for Betty’s farewell as she was a dear friend. Nevertheless, she revealed, “They never asked us.”

Additionally, Sally called out people who still stereotype soap as a way to get famous. She said, “A lot of people, when they join Coronation Street, think it’s all about being famous and… going to awards, and that’s it, you’re made. And you’re not. You’re really not.” She explained that actors like Bradley Walsh do everything, and people appreciate it.

The actress continued, “But if you do the same thing, they’re like, “Aren’t you an actor, though?”.
