Their whole family mourned Todd and Julie’s 12 and 10-year-long prison sentences, respectively. Jay Surgent is the pair’s attorney. And he is currently helping them absolve themselves. Recently, Surgent shared a new update on the case. And it might be a “Thanksgiving win” for Todd and Julie.

Julie and Todd were upset about not being with the family during the holidays. But Jay promised them that he is “working on it.” The pair’s daughter Savannah is also delighted by the news. She had been the first person to break this news to the public.

The Chrisley Knows Best star recalled getting the ‘appeal-progress news.’ Savannah remembered “literally sobbing” upon hearing the news. The star called it a “Thanksgiving win.” She was also very thankful to God. And she believes this is “one step closer to getting” her parents home. The hearing is on March 25, 2024.

Chrisley Knows Best: Savannah’s “Huge News” About “Getting Mom & Dad Home”

But her gloomy days might be coming to an end. The TV star revealed that her parents’ appeal had moved forward. Savannah called it a “step closer to getting” her parents home. Chrisley explained that the court accepts “only about 6 percent” of the submitted cases. So this was a “huge news” for her. The star recalled “literally sobbing” while receiving the news. And so this was her “Thanksgiving win.”

Savannah is also a little nervous as this appeal “is an opportunity to cement the panel’s decision.” And if this isn’t in the Chrisleys’ favor, it will be a problem. The Chrisley Knows Best star called it the “final chance to save your case.” But for now, the family and their attorney are delighted with the news. They hope to end the matter for good and soon.
