Medders’s father, Michael Medders, has had ALS since October 2019. It is a condition that affects muscle control as well as the ability to speak, move, breathe, and eat. He had been fighting the disease for five years now. But Michael lost the long battle at last.
Emmy announced the tragic news on her Instagram. She revealed that Michael passed away on Sunday, February 18. Emmy shared a very soulful tribute to her father on Instagram with a lengthy caption. She had posted a carousel of pictures of her father. It had photos of Michael from his healthier days as well as with his family. In the caption, Emmy mentioned her father had fought the battle for many years and had never complained. She also thanked him for everything he taught her, like sports and kindness.
