Coronation Street Star Jane Hazlegrove Teases Future Storyline
Jane Hazlegrove, who plays Bernie Winter-Brown in Coronation Street, just dropped some hints about what’s coming next for Kit. Let us tell you that the new character arrived in the Weatherfield after Bernie discovered her long-lost son. Previously, viewers saw Bernie on a mission to find her abandoned son.
Meanwhile, her son Paul was not doing well. At first, Kit wanted nothing to do with Bernie and kept his identity hidden. But now, they keep bumping into each other, and things are getting interesting. The Coronation Street actress expressed that her character carries ‘huge guilt.’
She discussed the impact of Kit’s reluctance to accept her into his life. However, she clarified that her character wishes to establish a relationship with him and make amends for her past mistakes. According to the star, Bernie must acknowledge that Kit harbours anger towards her, rightfully so.
Unfortunately, the Coronation Street character should accept the possibility that reconciliation may not be what he desires. Also, Bernie has always idealised Kit, but she now realises he may not meet her expectations. She needs to confront the reality of who Kit truly is rather than clinging to his idealised image.
Hazlegrove teased that Kit’s anger could harm Bernie’s relationship with Gemma and Paul. She stated that Bernie is aware of this possibility. She also added that it’s not the best situation considering Paul’s illness and the timing. The soap actress said, “She also doesn’t want to hurt the kids anymore than they already have been.”
