Pop singer Clay Aiken rose to fame after appearing on Season 2 of American Idol in 2003. Although he finished in second place behind Ruben Studdard, Clay remains one of the most successful contestants on the show. Since his debut, he has bagged many Billboard and American Music Awards and released six studio albums.

In addition to his music career, Clay has guest starred on Disney’s Phineas and Ferb and The Office. In 2008, the singer, 45, welcomed his son, Parker, with his “dear friend” Jaymes. Around the same time, he also came out as gay. Since then, he has strongly advocated for LGBTQ+ rights. Recently, Parker made his television debut, surprising longtime fans of American Idol.

Clay Aiken has been a familiar face in the entertainment industry since his debut on American Idol. Fans know him for his hit songs Invisible, This Is The Night, and Bridge Over Troubled Water. Recently, Clay appeared on an episode of Celebrity Family Feud along with his family, including his 15-year-old son, Parker.

The teen made waves all over the internet for making his television debut. On Tuesday, August 6, Clay joined host Steve Harvey’s Celebrity Family Feud to play for charity. He brought Parker to help him win along with his mother, Faye, his brother, Brett, and Parker’s mother, Jaymes Foster.

The family competed against American Idol runner-up Katherine McPhee and her husband, David Foster. Notably, Jaymes is the younger sister of David. Taking note of this, Clay remarked that “mixed families” were present on stage with Jaymes on their side. He then went on to introduce Parker who wore a striped polo shirt with a white collar for the night.

He had brunette curls like his mother, Jaymes. Steve also approached Parker, asking, “Parker, what’s up?” and his age. When he learned that Parker was only 15, he joked that Parker would have “all the girls at the school.” Later in the episode, Parker also helps Clay score a point when he answers a question correctly.

American Idol fans were into a frenzy after seeing Clay’s son Parker with many noting that they felt “old.” A comment read, “I was today years old when I found out he had a child.”

American Idol: Clay Aiken Talks About Fatherhood!

During an interview with US Weekly, American Idol alum Clay opened up about how fatherhood changed his life. “I feel a little more mature and substantially older.” He also expressed how excited he was about being included in Father’s Day celebrations. He added feeling “strange to think about that.” Clay further mentioned that he found it easy to balance between his music career and parenthood.

“We’ve been pretty well. Anybody who has a kid has to juggle everything. So it’s not that much different,” he continued.
