The popular Brown family from Alaskan Bush People might be back on small again with Season 15. The show, which aired on Discovery Channel, was on a long hiatus from 2022. The first season happened in 2014 when Ami and Billy’s children were small and growing. Viewers witnessed their Alaskan life.
Unfortunately, the network stopped airing after 14 seasons without giving any reason. This made fans question on social media whether the show could hit the television again. Recently, beloved matriarch Ami fell sick and was admitted to the hospital due to pneumonia. The family has been indeed going through many ups and downs lately. Will the network take back the extended break with Season 15?

Is “Alaskan Bush People” Canceled?
The Discovery Channel hasn’t officially canceled Alaskan Bush People. They haven’t announced that so far. They aired the last episode of Season 14 in December 2022 before pushing the series towards the hiatus. However, just a few episodes prior to the ending, viewers watched the Browns experiencing a tragic death in the family.
It was patriarch Billy’s sudden death that took his kids by shock. The father of seven was 68 when he passed away in February 2021. At that time, many fans believed that Billy’s tragic passing was the main reason the show went for an interval. His middle son, Bear, broke the news on Instagram with, “Our beloved patriarch Billy Brown passed away last night after suffering from a seizure.” Billy was a great husband, best friend, and loving dad.
Will “Alaskan Bush People” Season 15 Happen?
The official social media pages of Alaskan Bush People have yet to post about the renewed Season 15. Even the Discovery Channel revealed nothing about the return of the Browns. However, Bear dropped subtle hints about the hiatus and the potential comeback of the spinoff show in April of last year.

Bear posted a clip on Instagram consisting of multiple videos of the Brown family living in an uninhabited forest area. The message over the clip reads, “Alaskan Bush People: Behind the Scenes With Bear Brown.” He further explained in the caption that he had faced questions over the last few years.
One of them mainly asked Bear if they would have another season of their show. By refusing to answer, Bear told fans that he is now only excited to show BTS from the series. The video had scenes from Season 1, especially from summer 2024. Many netizens are interested to know the whereabouts of the Browns.
Hence, for information, the Brown family moved to Washington from Alaska. They bought a house on 435 acres of land in the North Cascade Mountains. Apart from her, Noah and his wife, Rhain, separated recently. They are living somewhere else. His sister Rain got married last year and moved to a different place.
