The ongoing season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After has become one of the most dramatic ones. Usam and Kim are facing a lot of problems. Initially, they were hoping to get Usman another wife to bear his kids. But now, that plan seems to be failing. In the latest episode, Kim was left surprised when Usman dropped his adoption idea. 90 Day Fiance: Is Kim Ready To Adopt Usman’s Nephew?
In the recent episode of 90 Day Fiance, Usman talked about his recent plans with Kim. During a video call, he tells her that he plans to adopt his brother Mohammed’s son. To her shock, Kim asks Usman whether he is kidding. Sojaboy clarifies and tells her that in Nigerian culture, his sibling’s children are his children. Further to his conversation, he says that if anything happens to his siblings, they are responsible for taking care of them. The TLC celeb believes that adopting his nephew Mahadi would be the wisest course of action if finding a second spouse is impossible.
Usman explains that Mahadi, his brother’s son, is very close to him, as per ET’s exclusive clip. He also acknowledged that having children is important in his culture. Moreover, he believes that he and his nephew share a father-son bond. Although, his mother is not happy with his decision to adopt as his family said that his child needs to be his own blood to call him his child. However, as Mahadi is his brother’s son, he eventually becomes his own blood.
Usman, anyway, wants to take his nephew to the United States as he doesn’t want to make him suffer hardship like other people in Nigeria. He wishes for a better life for Mahadi. However, Usman knows that adoption is not an option that his mother likes. But he believes that she will eventually accept. Even though Kim has agreed to Usman having kids with another woman, she doesn’t want to get involved in the child’s life.
90 Day Fiance: Polygamy May Interfere In Usman’s Plan To Have His Own Children
In the previous few episodes of 90 Day Fiance, Usman Umar’s mother eventually gave her blessing for his and Kim’s engagement. Yet, Kim had to sign an agreement. It asks for Kim’s consent to allow Usman to marry another woman and start a family. She also consents to his four annual trips back to Nigeria. But this was not that easy. In a video call with the immigration lawyers, Usman found out that he cannot marry more than one woman in order to receive a green card. The immigration lawyers made it very clear that polygamy is not allowed in the United States.
Usman’s desire to have kids with other women brought up another problem. The immigration lawyers agreed that it is okay to have multiple marriages in other countries. But it is strictly prohibited in the United States. Kim is now worried, thinking if Usman cannot have children with other women, he might leave her.
