90 Day Fiance alum Michael Eloshway recently lost his beloved sister before starting his 10-year prison sentence. He has two felony charges on him. While he said that he was downloading adult pornography, he unknowingly downloaded a large batch of child pornographic files.
Michael shares his 5-year-old daughter with wife Aziza, with whom he appeared on Season 1 of the show. Even though the couple are happily married today, he has hurt Aziza badly with his pornography addiction. During their runtime in the series, it was TLC who charged him for having receipt and distribution of child abuse material.

Michael Eloshway’s troubles started in late October of last year. After the federal judge sentenced him to 10 years and one month, his sentence came with lifelong and serious aftermath. In addition to his jail time, he was asked to register himself as an offender permanently. Furthermore, the 90 Day Fiance star will face strict monitoring of all his electronic devices for a decade after his release.
The first time Michael was taken into custody was in 2023, revealing that the computer in his garage stored illicit content. His browser history showed that he downloaded the child pornography between February 2022 and March 2023. By expressing regret for his actions in court, he cited his daughter and said that he had never consciously committed the crime. He refused to strike a plea deal to enter a moderately lesser prison sentence.

Michael Eloshway reported to prison to start his 10-year sentence given by the U.S. District Court. According to official documents obtained by InTouch, the 42-year-old former reality star expected to turn himself in on January 8. However, the date got scheduled to January 15 due to the court accepting Michael’s request for grieving his sister, Amy’s death.
Amy passed away on December 28, 2024. So, he pleaded with the judge to allow him to attend the life ceremony before entering his prison cell. Previously, the 90 Day Fiance celeb’s mom provided the court with a letter to let them know about his sole sister. Amy was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at the age of 39.
Although Amy underwent treatment for her cancerous tumors, her physical health deteriorated quickly. The chemotherapy session didn’t work because the tumors began to grow fast. Recently, the FCI Elkton prison records showed Michael entering the facility to join a total of 1,994 convicts. As of today, the Bureau of Prisons set Michael’s release date as “unknown.”
However, the official date of Michael’s arrest is there as October 2024, and the reason is child pornography. The U.S. government and prosecutors first demanded to give him a 20-year prison sentence.
