Cody was shot once in the head and was on “life support” in a local hospital until he took his last breath. However, he wasn’t able to survive for a long time, as he died on January 1, 2020.
After all this, a Missouri Special Prosecutor conducted an investigation into the entire matter. However, he concluded that the shooting was “justified.” He claimed that Cody’s car was accelerating towards him when the incident took place. As per the reports, the officer felt that he was in “danger” as he felt that the car would end him up with “serious physical injury or death.”
School surveillance video footage, even the car “may be seen accelerating.” When the officer shot Cody, his vehicle was just “6 feet” away from him.
