However, some couples just struggle with issues in their family that end up affecting their own relationship. Well, as of recently, Kalani and Asuelu remain one of the biggest examples of this issue. While their marriage is finally going well, Asuelu is struggling with his mom and sister’s constant demands for money. 90 Day Fiance: Asuelu Has Already Given Loads Of Money To His Mom & Sister
One of the biggest controversies of the previous season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After was the physical fight between Asuelu’s mom, sister, and wife. The Samoan star’s mother, Lesina, has been demanding money from him for years. While struggling to support his family, Pulaa finally refused to offer any more financial help. However, Lesina and his sister, Tammy, didn’t take his rejection very well. They also created a lot of drama during the controversial Tell All episode of the spin-off series. But, fans will be shocked to know how much money Asuela has already given to his family in Samoa.
In the latest 90 Day Fiance: Bares All episode, Asuelu and Kalani opened up about the money issue with Lesina. As per ETOnline’s exclusive preview, Faagata revealed that her husband used to be financially dependant on his sister Tammy when he lived in Samoa. Hence, he felt responsible for paying her back. As a result, the 26-year-old celebrity has been funding his mother and sister for more than two years. When the famous host, Shaun Robinson, asked about the amount of money, Asuelu revealed that he used to give away his entire paycheck to them. Kalani highlighted that the number ranges between $600-$700 each month for continuous two years.
Shaun quickly calculated that Pulaa has paid over $15,000 to Lesina as of today. On the other hand, Kalani revealed that when her husband came to America from Samoa, she emptied his bank account for his mom. While the exact amount isn’t clear, it might add a few thousand dollars to the total.
90 Day Fiance: Kalani Disappointed By Asuelu Supporting Lesina But Not His Wife & Kids!
While Kalani accepts that they’ve fought over the issue before, she still seems disappointed by her husband’s actions. The Samoan 90 Day Fiance star had been giving away his paycheck to his parents instead of supporting his wife and kids. On top of that, his bank account was empty when he came to the US. Faagata explained that she hoped her husband would’ve saved some money for his American family. Even Shaun adds that Asuelu could have helped pay a lot of bills if he hadn’t given away all his money to Lesina.
Later on, Robinson asked why Asuelu feels obligated to support his mom. The young dad revealed that he has to do it because that’s how life is in Samoa. Asuelu reveals that according to Samoan culture, “when we success in life we need to like [take] care of our parents and our family”. However, Kalani seems very disappointed with this culture.
