Alliya and Shawn were back in the new episode of the 90 Day Fiance spinoff, Love In Paradise. The pair were shopping for clothes for the former. She was still transitioning from Douglas to Alliya, in the show’s timeline. So, there was still much left for her to discover about herself.
But this discovery also meant Shawn was on the ride. The pair met when Alliya was still Douglas. So now that she is transitioning, Alliya is changing a lot. Fans saw Shawn talk about the transition in the new episode. It seems he is not so sure about things anymore.
90 Day Fiance: Shawn Isn’t Sure How To Deal With Alliya’s Extroversion
Alliya and Shawn’s story began on a different note. They met when the former was still Douglas, and Shawn had fallen in love. But Alliya’s transition from Douglas to Alliya began after she and Shawn got into a relationship. So, the transition has been a wild ride for both sides involved.
They are now on Love In Paradise and exploring their relationship further. Alliya is dappling in the more feminine side of her personality. Her 90 Day Fiance partner is also supportive of it. But things might have started to get a little wide. Shawn and Alliya went shopping for clothes for the latter. Alliya decided to try some new styles, but Shawn looked really uncomfortable.
There was some discomfort in Shawn when Alliya tried a few new styles, like a “Brazilian” cut dress. It didn’t help when the latter started twerking in front of Shawn to show off the dress. She then went ahead to try some more clothes. The camera cut to Shawn’s confessional, where he admitted that he felt a “disconnect between Douglas and Alliya.” He “adore(d)” Douglas’s “shy and sweet” personality and introverted nature. Shawn felt Douglas’s “peaceful energy” was “easier” to deal with than Alliya’s personality.
The 90 Day Fiance spinoff star said he loved Alliya’s “fun and dynamic” nature. But Shawn was unsure if he can “deal with” this energy “on a 24/7 basis. Shawn also mentioned that he loved Alliya. But she was way “different” from Douglas, which might be making things complicated. Fans will just need to wait and see where their relationship goes.
90 Day Fiance: Alliya’s Transition Is Difficult For Shawn To “Wrap His Head Around”
When Alliya and Shawn were out for dinner, the former asked the latter if her friends accepted her “full-time” identity. She reassured him that she had good friends and that they were adapting.
However, the tone of the dinner shifted when Shawn shared a childhood story about his friend Gladys. The 90 Day Fiance spinoff star revealed Gladys had changed their name to GG. But his loved ones hadn’t accepted the name GG yet. Shawn was also sad that he would never get to know Gladys again. But Alliya sensed Shawn was subtly expressing discomfort with her transition,
