Recently, Ruben chatted with Monsters & Critics to set the record straight with Aguero for all the claims about him. The host asked the newbie star when things started downhill between the two. Ruben claimed the American native started slamming him on social media after he started a GoFundMe page for his friend. He didn’t meet his friend for several years and he had no family or children.
The TLC star went to meet his friend and found out about his living conditions. So, he decided to make an effort for him. Ruben went ahead and claimed that he didn’t receive many donations from his followers and broke his savings to buy a camper van for his friend. Later, the host started reading some of the hateful comments from Aguero on Instagram against her ex-partner.
Ruben noted that Debbie approached him on a dating site and asked him to find someone presentable before offering him the role. Moreover, he explained that he wanted to help her with her charity to help her fulfill her dream of starting an animal art studio. Further, the TLC star added, “I was married to a State Attorney, you know, for many years, for 17 years.” Hence, he was proud of himself for having a crystal-clean background. Ruben expressed that he had no fears about all the claims as his intentions were pure.
