The celeb explained how an apple fell on his right eye at the age of 17 and caused a lot of pain. But soon, things went downhill, and his vision became disoriented. Chidi then recalled how he ended up falling down again because of his disoriented vision.
He hit his other eye on a wooden desk, which initially was perfectly working. However, Chidi bled a lot, and by the time he went to the hospital, he lost all his eyesight. Since then, he is only able to see a cloud in front of his eyes with some spark of color. Chidi admitted that he felt that his world ended. However, he has learned to live with it and has made peace with his blindness.

90 Day Fiance viewers were in disbelief when they recently saw Rayne taking the credit for Chidi’s blindness. The network recently dropped a clip from the upcoming episode in which the couple talked about the latter’s inability to see. Rayne asked Chidi if he believed that he became blind “spiritually.” She noted that the two incidents that led to her beau’s blindness couldn’t really be “coincident.”
As per Rayne, if Chidi hadn’t been blind, she wouldn’t have traveled all the way for him. She admitted that just because of the latter’s inability to see, she is really comfortable around him. The celeb explained how she wasn’t conscious about herself because she knew that Chidi couldn’t see her. Hence, Rayne is convinced that everything happened for a reason, which makes their storyline perfect.
She admitted to the cameras that she is closer to Chidi just because she isn’t conscious of him. Rayne thinks that something “spiritual” happened, which made Chidi lose his eyesight and get closer to him. Hence, she is convinced that God sent her for the latter, and it was all destined.
