90 Day Fiance: Geoffrey Tries To Prove His Alleged Innocence Through Motion For Retrial, Gets Denied
Geoffrey Paschel became a known face after his TV appearance on 90 Day Fiance. However, viewers got to see his dark side after a case about Paschel assaulting and kidnapping his ex came into the limelight. As a result, he is now serving an 18-year prison sentence after the court found him guilty. Despite this, the man had attempted a retrial in February. Later on, he did so again with his attorney, Greg Isaacs. As per Starcasm, the official presented a bunch of arguments through a PowerPoint presentation, stressing the fact that some things “merited” another trial.
It turns out that Geoffrey’s lawyer felt that the set of pictures the victim provided containing injuries shouldn’t have been evidence. That’s because all three sets of pictures were from different days. In the first hearing, Geoffrey had emphasized that his former lover “self-inflicted” those injuries on herself. However, the judge was quick to tell the jury to pay no heed to this statement. Moreover, there was an audio of the ex from when she was on the kitchen floor after escaping Geoffrey’s house and going to his neighbors.
Well, the attorney stated that the audio was distorted, and the victim’s voice was quite unclear in it. Other arguments were about Geoffrey’s drug conviction and post-arrest aggression. At last, the defense couldn’t help but object and overruled the motion.

While Geoffrey Paschel is doing time in Prison, his 90 Day Fiance co-star Varya Malina is living in his residence and taking care of his assets and other important belongings. Just like the celebrity, his partner, too, feels he is innocent. Therefore, she takes to Instagram often to share updates about his life from his prison life. Apparently, one of her updates revealed that Geoffrey was in deep waters for trying to help a prison guard. It turns out a correction officer watching over 100 inmates passed out.
Since no other official was present to help the man, Geoffrey took it upon himself to grab his keys and unlock himself from the cell to seek help. However, after doing so, he got in trouble with other prison officials for breaking the rules. Therefore, the other guards “wrote him up” for his actions, as per Varya. Despite this, the woman remains strong and has been spending a lot of time focussing on herself while she waits for her partner to be with her after he finishes his prison sentence.
