In the few recent episodes of 90 Day Fiance, Sumit’s parents were seen moving into his house. His mother is trying a lot to turn Jenny into a typical Indian bride. She mentioned in the episode that she wanted to have something cooked by Jenny. Further, she took her to the kitchen and gave basic instructions while preparing dinner. Then, she asked Jenny to knead the flour which she was unable to do. On this, Sahna said, “You are completely useless. You don’t know anything.” As Jenny doesn’t know Hindi, so she just smiled at her without knowing what was said.
Fans of the show slammed Sumit’s mother for using such a statement. One of the viewers said, “How can she call her useless? I feel bad for Jenny.” Another fan commented, that the Indian parents are turning quite disrespectful towards their son’s partner. In the same episode, Sumit said that he was happy to see that Jenny is learning various household chores. But he was also nervous. However, the TV star suggested that it’s better that the two ladies don’t speak the same language. Hence, the language barrier might help them bond. Some Indian fans of the show suggested that Sahna’s statement wasn’t as rude in Hindi and sounded a lot disrespectful due to translation.
