However, Emily and her family didn’t know that a big surprise was waiting for them. The Beieberly family was in utter shock after Kobe’s parents asked him to marry Emily again in their tradition.
The Blaise family recently informed Emily’s parents, Lisa and David, about what they were required to do as part of their tradition. They explained to the family about the ‘Knock Door’ ceremony, where they would receive the ‘bride price’ from the groom’s family. David understood that it was just a sign of appreciation from the groom’s family and nothing else.
Sadly, the tradition didn’t quite sit well with Lisa, and she felt as if the family was buying Emily in exchange for gifts and money. She said, “Well, either way, it feels like we’re taking money for a person, that’s what it feels like.” The celeb was angry at everyone, thinking that she was not getting the tradition. Moreover, she added, “I get it that it’s his tradition; it’s not my tradition.”
However, fans think Lisa should be more lenient about her son-in-law’s tradition. Several viewers started calling out the reality TV celeb on X after the episode.
