TLC released a promo for the upcoming episode of 90 Days: The Single Life. It turns out, Debbie finally got herself a man. A British by the name of Edward was her first-ever date. The star has often been vocal about not dating anyone since her son Colt’s father passed away. Hence, this was her first-ever date in 2 decades! Unluckily, the date started on an awkward note when Colt greeted the new man at the door and asked the couple not to indulge in “funny business”. Moreover, there was a lack of chemistry between Edward and Debbie as their car ride was full of awkward silence.
She tried to show him his pet cats, but he clearly wasn’t interested. Apart from this, he also called out her son for being so invasive while talking to them. Their outing happened at a club. Turns out it was the worst place to go to as Debbie’s date didn’t consume alcohol. The famous mother still ordered heavy beverages for herself, and it made the situation more unsettling. During Edward’s segment, he said the celebrity was much older than he had expected. At the end of it, her date ended up putting her in the friend zone.
Debbie’s first date going horribly made her cry. She continued to claim that she “didn’t want to be in the f*cking friendzone”. Furthermore, Johnson shed light on the fact that she has been single for so long, and it is hard to find someone who is her age now. The TLC celebrity concluded by saying she is “happy with her cats and life.”

Since she has been highly invasive as a side character in 90 Day Fiance, Debbie wasn’t well-liked by the fans. However, viewers felt bad for the TV star after seeing her get emotional. Many well-wishers took to Reddit to call out the British man. They shunned him for being rude and exposed his vile intentions for going on a date with her. Adding to this, a lot of them encouraged the famous star and told her not to lose hope this soon into the season.
In contrast, some accounts were of the view that there was nothing wrong with Edward. They explained that it was Colt’s invasion that sabotaged their date in the first place.
