The cast member surprised everyone by announcing that she had joined The Single Life spin-off. Fans will get to see how Chantel gets into dating again after her heavy divorce. In a new promo, fans got to see her share a steamy kiss with a foreign man. But the whole experience blew up on the star’s face as she got triggered instead! Why did that happen?

Chantel had to go through a very tough phase in the last two seasons of The Family Chantel. She showcased her crumbling marriage with Pedro and later their divorce. The 90 Day Fiance couple called it quits very publically through their show. The whole experience was rather heartbreaking for the American native.
But Chantel seems ready to hop into the dating pool again. TLC is bringing her back as a new cast member for The Single Life edition. The trailer for the same revealed that she and her girlfriends would be heading to Greece for some fun. At the same time, Chantel would try her luck to explore new people in the foreign land.
As per a new promo, Chantel went all out and shared a kiss with a stranger. Together, they also rode on his motorcycle, and he bid her goodbye while saying he would wait for her call. In her confessional, the 90 Day Fiance star said that her “adrenaline” was going as it felt wrong but good at the same time.
But suddenly, Chantel ended up unlocking a deeply buried memory and began to cry. She said when she met Pedro in the Dominican Republic, he took her for a ride on the island in his four-wheeler. What happened to her in Greece was very similar to how her ex-husband “got her.” So, the waterworks began, and she began drowning in her tears.

As Chantel began to cry after her hot date left, her girlfriends came to her rescue. But none of them knew how to calm her own. She mentioned feeling the rug being “ripped out” from under her. It happened when she realized her marriage would end in divorce. In fact, her divorce shattered the 90 Day Fiance star’s entire fantasy.
She began to cry as this past memory “derailed” her plans of finding someone new and having fun in Greece. Chantel understood that time was “precious” and that she didn’t want to waste it dwelling in the past. Instead, Everett wanted to put it all behind her and make sure she didn’t repeat the same old mistakes.
