90 Day Fiance: Ariela’s Parents Bankrupt Over Mortgage Debt!
At first, Ariela Weinberg’s parents Fred and Janice, made their TV debut through The Other Way spin-off of 90 Day Fiance. Apparently, they took a trip to Ethiopia to meet their daughter with her fiance. However, they didn’t seem pleased about the couple’s living conditions and gave them a hard time. Yet, they aren’t in a good place either. That’s because they had to go through bankruptcy in 2019. Moreover, they ended up losing a foreclosure lawsuit in the same year too.
It turns out that the elderly couple had to file for bankruptcy for the first time in December 2012. Starcasm reported that they were able to claim up to $1,706,562 in liabilities. Apparently, this included tax debt worth $300k along with various other debts for credit cards and mortgages. Luckily, the court closed the case in 2015. However, their troubles didn’t end there. As per their “bankruptcy plan”, the couple took some undertaking with regards to the property where Ariela’s father practiced cardiology.
Hence, the duo had to take a $450,000 mortgage for the place in February 2004. Coming back to the closed bankruptcy case, the parents owed more than $567,000. Alas, by June 2016, the couple still hadn’t settled the said amount. As a result, a new revised debt of $581,956 after a forbearance agreement came into place by September 2016. Although the deadline for the same was by August 2019, the infamous Weinbergs didn’t clear their dues. Hence, they filed for bankruptcy after the court ruled in the Mortgage company’s favor in August 2020.
90 Day Fiance: Ariela Expanding Business In Ethiopia, Wants To Start Travel Company
The 90 Day Fiance star Ariela has a lot of new career prospects in her mind. Apparently, she is back in Ethiopia for now. At first, she was raising funds and doing humanitarian work for the victims of the 2020 civil war. Later on, she made some posts on her Instagram to sell off some properties in East Africa. Now, the celebrity has expressed her wish to open a new Tours and Travels company in her fiance’s native land.
At first, Weinberg indulged in a partnership with a local company i.e., Simen Land Tours. In fact, her Ethiopian brother, i.e., Tesfahun Dereje, owns it. It seems like this collab motivated Ariela enough to open up her own travel company. Hence, she urged her followers to come to Africa while hinting at “big plans”.
