Tammy Slaton underwent bariatric surgery last Summer. She faced numerous health-related struggles and finally overcame all the obstacles. Well, the star appeared different after achieving a major drop from 717 to 535 in 1000 Lb Sisters Season 4. She also shared her thoughts about her health battle in the latest interview. Tam Tam revealed on Wednesday that she was “feeling great” and “thankful” to still be alive. She further added that it was “fun to be progressing” at a good pace. Longtime viewers of the sow must know that she almost had a near-death experience in 2022 over carbon dioxide poisoning.
Tammy spent a few days on a ventilator when she almost stopped breathing. The TLC star further revealed that she was able to make her lungs strong enough to get rid of her “trachea tube.” Later she expressed that the doctor approved her to stop using the oxygen machine during the day. Although she now has to use her BiPap equipment and oxygen at night to regulate her breathing. Tammy went on to say that she has to keep an eye on her oxygen levels throughout the day. Moreover, she also keeps it handy in case she ever needs it unexpectedly.
