1000 Lb Sisters reality TV show first premiered on January 1, 2020. This show primarily focused on the lives of the Slaton sisters, who were struggling to lose weight. Tammy was around 600 lbs in the show’s first episode, and then her weight fluctuated over time. However, she gained a lot of weight during the lockdown, and her doctors were very angry with her negligence towards her health. At her heaviest, Tammy was 717 Lbs!
However, now the 1000 Lb Sisters star is progressing, but all of this happened because of her very supportive family. Tammy admits that her family has handled her situation very well. In Tuesday’s episode, she broke down as she was very scared to undergo the life-changing weight loss surgery. The doctors told Tammy to reduce her weight to 550 Lbs to qualify for the surgery. But when she began progressing, she surpassed the goal and was 534 lbs! As Tammy exited the facility, her entire family held huge signs. There was one that specifically called her “Queen.”
While Tammy was about to undergo surgery, her family feared the results. Amy even said she could not picture her life without her sister if anything happened to her. Tammy’s weight has never been stable. On 1000 Lb Sisters, fans have noticed her weight fluctuating over the last three seasons. Tammy’s maximum weight reached around 717 lbs, which was also when she was admitted to rehab. However, this was not her first time visiting the rehab facility. Several times she escaped from there. But this time around, Tammy stayed there and worked really hard on herself.
In last Tuesday’s episode, Tammy came out of rehab to undergo surgical procedures. Before that, Tammy met her newborn nephew, Glenn, for the first time. She held the baby and told everyone that he kept her sane and was the source of her motivation to keep going. Tammy loves both of her nephews, Gage and Glen. The star even mentioned that she wished to babysit Glenn and Gage when she gets home. She was extremely happy to meet her family and the little munchkins of the house.
