All is not well with 1000 Lb Sisters. At first both Amy and Tammy were unstoppable when it came to their weight loss. They had worked very hard to get into shape after their bariatric surgery. But other externalities of their lives continued to cause them trouble. For instance, Amy had had a hard year following her divorce from Michael in 2023 and a custody battle.
A few days ago, Amy Slaton began making headlines yet again. It happened after a recent mugshot of her began circulating on the internet. She has four charges against her name, including two of child endangerment. Following this, her elder sister Tammy had to step in and take Amy’s sons, Glenn and Gage, under her wing!
1000 Lb Sisters: Tammy Takes Amy’s Kids Under Her Wing After Her Arrest!
It’s been many years since 1000 Lb Sisters fans got to meet Amy and Tammy Slaton. Over the years, these sisters have undergone tremendous change for the better and changed their ways. But there have been moments where troubles have caught up to them. For instance, fans were in shock after hearing about Amy’s recent arrest.
Apparently, Amy was in Tennessee with her friend Brian Lovvron at Safari Park. Its staff called the cops after a camel bit her. On taking a deeper look, they charged both individuals with “illegal possession of Schedule I & IV”, most likely mushrooms and mar*juana. That’s not all. They also faced “two counts of child endangerment.”
As per the updates from People by Law Enforcement, Tammy was the one who picked up Gage and Glenn after Amy’s arrest. It happened after she was in custody. However, there is no information on whether the 1000 Lb Sisters star picked up her nephews at the place of the arrest, i.e., the zoo or Crockett County Sheriff’s Office.
1000 Lb Sisters: Amy Lied About Camel Bite? Zoo Owner Doubtful
The news of Amy’s arrest has caused havoc in the 1000 Lb Sisters fanbase. As more and more details are coming into the limelight, things seem as fishy as ever. Apart from Amy facing the arrest, the ambulance was also called because of her camel bite, and she left the premises on a stretcher. Surprisingly, Zoo owner Jon Conley doesn’t think the bite came from a camel.
The picture circulating on the internet of Amy’s leg with the alleged bite shows an open wound with a chunk of skin missing right above her tattoo. There were scratches in the open area, too. As Jon says, it’s “impossible” for the camel to bite Amy. He didn’t understand how the star didn’t have a bruised tissue on her leg. The owner feels an open tissue can’t be due to biting.
