In a recent court hearing, Michael Halterman finally revealed details about his living conditions after leaving his and Amy’s mansion.
1000 Lb Sisters: Michael Admits That He’s Sleeping At His Mother’s House After Separating From His Wife & Kids!
As Amy and Michael Halterman are in the middle of court proceedings for a divorce, they are also fighting for their kids’ custody. As of now, the 1000 Lb Sisters stars have joint custody of their sons, Glenn and Gage. While Amy looks after them from Monday to Friday, her ex has them for the weekends. In a recent court hearing, the latter admitted that he has been living with his mom. As per the previous court orders, he had to leave the residence he and Amy shared together while raising their kids. Apparently, Michael’s mother shares that home with his sister and brother.
Hence, after Michael’s presence in his mother’s house, it has gotten cramped up. The 1000 Lb Sisters supporting castmate has been sleeping on the couch. He also informed during the hearing that whenever Halterman has the kids’ custody during the weekends, his mom takes care of them in case he has to step out for some work engagement. Well, Amy felt differently about this. She stated that Michael’s mother shouldn’t be taking care of the young kids at her age as it must be “stressful” for her. Hence, she was against the idea of handing over their son to her ex for “equal time.”
1000 Lb Sisters: Michael Wants Full Joint Custody!
While Amy has been taking care of Glenn and Gage five days a week, Michael has been doing it too. Recently, the 1000 Lb Sisters ex-couple has been battling in the court for “equal time.” Michael is the one who wants equal time as his former wife with his kids with “full joint custody.” Whereas Amy wants full custody as she had previously complained at the court about Michael being violent towards the kids by yanking their arms too hard.
As per the latest hearing, Michael came up with a schedule. He wanted to have the boys for the first four days of the first week. But, Amy was not on board, she stated that the inconsistency in the schedule would be too “confusing” for her growing kids. Well, the judge didn’t make a ruling so far while the court was in session. Amy went to the Kentucky court with her brother Chris Combs and sister Amanda Halterman. Two of her friends were also ther with her. On the other hand, Michael came alone.
