While that is a big milestone for her, and she is happy about it, Tammy still plans to delay certain things. Driving is one of these items because she still feels anxious about it.
1000 Lb Sisters: Tammy Will “Eventually” Drive But Not Right Now
1000 Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has had weight issues all her life. But the star, along with her co-star and sister, decided to lose weight. And right now, the star has lost around 400 lbs. So Tammy, after encouragement from her brother Chris, tried something new. And though she was really happy that she succeeded, Tammy won’t take it further for now.
Slaton successfully sat in her car’s front seat behind the wheel. Tammy successfully sat behind the steering wheel for the first time in almost two decades. She could do that without difficulty after losing so much weight. And while she was happy about it, sitting is where she’ll stop for “now.” She won’t be driving the car as of now.
A fan had questioned the TLC star about her refusal to drive. Tammy answered in a TikTok video on December 31, saying she does “want to learn eventually.” Slaton said her “anxiety (about driving) is just a little too much” right now, so she plans to take “baby steps.” But Tammy was still happy that she could at least fit in the car.
The 1000 Lb Sisters Star also revealed that she has driven “a golf cart” before. And though it didn’t “go too fast,” she still drove it. For now, Tammy is celebrating her “huge” win. She described the experience as “being able to see “a different point of view.”
1000 LB Sisters: Tammy Successfully Sits In Her Car’s Front Seat!!
Tammy Slaton has struggled with weight problems. But now, the 1000 LB Sisters star has resolved to work on her health and has lost around 400 lbs. In celebration of this milestone, Tammy’s brother Chris suggested the star try to sit in the front seat of her car. Was Tammy able to fit in it?
People revealed a TLC clip where Chris asks the star to sit in the car seat. Tammy reluctantly agrees, but the star still isn’t sure she’ll “be able to fit.” “The last time” Tammy “sat in the front seat” was when she was “15 or 20 years” old. Chris joked that they’d “squish” her in, and if the door still locks, he’ll count it as a win. Lo and behold, Tammy “did it” with a big smile on her face.
Chris was really happy for his sister. And, of course, Tammy loved the new experience. She said it was like seeing everything from “a different point of view.” Tammy went on to say that this was a big milestone for her.
