1000 lb Sisters: Amy Releases Her Emotions & Distress In The Rage Room
Amy was married to Michael Halterman. The two even have two kids together. However, their marriage didn’t last long. After four years of marriage, Amy asked Michael for a divorce. But the 1000 lb Sisters star had gone through a lot throughout the journey. And seeing her sister having difficulty with the ‘grieving’ process, Tammy decided to do something. So the sister duo ended up in a rage room.
Tammy took Amy to a rage room so that the latter could vent out her pent-up feelings. Both the sisters started smashing and thrashing a few things. Then, Amy really went all in and started smashing glass jars and frames with a baseball bat. She then took a crowbar to smash bigger objects like a television set and a glass wall. But at one point, Amy was so overcome with emotions that she started sobbing in a corner. So, Tammy had to comfort her.
While comforting Amy, Tammy said, “The whole point of” the rage room was to let things out. Then, Amy explained her feelings about the process in a confessional. She expressed her frustration about being the only one to make the effort in her marriage. Amy said that she “didn’t think” she would be able to “marry” or “have kids”. But she really “wanted” those things.
The 1000 lb Sisters star explained that she “fought tooth and nail for” the marriage and the “babies.” Amy even had “weight loss surgery to have” kids. So, now that “everything’s falling apart,” the star is just depressed, angry, and upset.
1000 lb Sisters: Amy Expresses Her Personal Struggles In Marriage With Michael
Amy was having a hard time in her marriage. She had opened up about her difficulties to her sisters Tammy and Amanda. On the December 19 episode, Amy talked about feeling “exhausted all the time” and “hurting 24/7”. The 1000 lb Sisters star had narrated that she had “two boys,” a “house,” and her “Mom” to take care of. All of these things were “a lot” for her.
While listening to her sister’s misery, Amanda noticed how “depressed” Amy felt. She also said this was why “she” had “no energy to get up and clean and do the dishes.” Amanda really wanted to solve things for Amy. So she explained the whole situation to Amy’s then-husband, Michael.
Before the divorce happened, Amanda had tried to make Michael understand how depressed Amy was. “The only energy” Amy “has is strictly for her kids.” Amanda understood that Amy was the only one “wash(ing),” “bathe(ing),” “clean(ing),” and “feed(ing)” the kids.
So, the star told Michael to “take the kids away and give” Amy “a minute” when she feels overwhelmed. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out, and Amy asked for a divorce from Michael. For more reality news, see TV Season & Spoilers.
