The 1000 Lb Sisters star shared a vlog on her YouTube channel. The vlog revealed the gender of Amy’s baby. There were family and friends who gathered for the gender reveal. Each member present has to vote whether it is a boy or a girl. Later, Amy held up a big card revealing having a baby boy. However, Amy seemed a little disappointed with the result. That’s because she has hoped for a girl.
However, Amy quickly shrugged off that thought and moved on to declare the baby’s name. So, what name did she choose? Turns out Amy has planned to name her baby “John Allen.” However, people in the background thought it was weird. The friends and family were a little surprised. They asked Amy to confirm the name. It was clear that none liked the name. Further, Amy’s sister Amanda said that she wouldn’t call him that in the background. However, the younger sibling doubled down to nickname the baby, ‘John Boy.’

The reality TV star’s family or friends didn’t really like the name for baby #2. In fact, the 1000 Lb Sisters fans said that they also didn’t like Amy’s name choice. The Redditors also entered the area to take a gist at Amy. One Reddit user commented that it is surprising to hear such a name these days. Another added that it feels old-fashioned next to the name Gage. The user further suggested the name could be ‘John Allen Halterman’ or ‘John Allen Slaton-Halterman.’ One user also added that the name Gage sounds a little horror. Moreover, they said they expected terrible names from the couple.
Apart from the name choice, Amy hoped for a baby girl. However, it was her dream to embrace motherhood. Hence, it is clear that she would care endlessly for her babies.
