Over the last few years, 1000 Lb Sisters has earned a wide fanbase. While Amy and Tammy often depict their triumph and struggles related to weight loss, their family features in the show, too. One of the castmates who became a fan favorite is Amanda Halterman. Viewers liked her because she didn’t believe in sugarcoating her words.
Oftentimes in the show, she gave Amy and Tammy cold, hard facts without mincing her words. Hence, everyone began cheering for Amanda and keeping track of her life. On her social media, she ended up giving everyone some unfortunate news. She made a post saying she underwent a massive operation.
Amanda ended up with an injury when she went out to “swing.” It happened on October 7, when she put a little weight on her right leg, and it “popped.” Then, the supporting cast member informed everyone that she had surgery due on November 3 for ACL and meniscus. Along with this, Halterman also shared pictures of her bruised and injured leg.
The star appeared optimistic at the end of her post. That’s because she informed everyone that “this too shall pass.” 1000 Lb Sisters fanbase has been concerned about Amanda ever since. They want to know how she has been doing since her surgery. So far, she has not responded. Fans speculate that she must be resting and focussing on healing since the operation.

It turns out the accident isn’t the only thing Amanda Halterman had to deal with. A few months ago, she had made yet another concerning post regarding her health. She took to her Instagram handle to give everyone the upsetting news. It also contained a bunch of pictures.
In one of the images, Amanda’s COVID-19 testing strip was present. It clearly depicted a positive test. Amanda mentioned how not only she but her entire family ended up contracting the coronavirus. Apart from this, she included another picture. The cast member looked very exhausted in it, her face quite swollen and patchy.
