Reality TV star Vannessa Cross just shared her biggest goal post-surgery. After having a successful skin removal surgery, she is looking forward to getting a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). In an interview with People, the TLC personality confessed that she is kinda addicted to plastic surgery. She believes plastic surgery is the only way that is easy and painless.
Furthermore, in the interview, Vannessa told how dieting and exercise had immensely changed her life. “I actually go to the gym. I actually eat extremely healthy foods,” she said. She further added, “I never saw myself living a healthy lifestyle and here I am.” Vannessa feels physically and mentally fit after losing weight, noting that her confidence grew stronger than ever.
1000 Lb Best Friends: Vannessa Struggles With A Lingering “Fat Mindset”
In the fifth episode of Season 6 of 1000 Lb Best Friends, Vannessa Cross showed her transformation to the cameras. Her doctor, Dr. David M. Whitman, performed the surgery for five straight hours. Even though the surgery was a huge success, Vannessa faced some emotional and physical challenges. She experienced intense pain and struggled to stand up from her bed.
Vannessa further mentioned that standing left her unable to breathe properly. Although her sister Jackie helped her through the tough moments, she faced a challenging recovery. Earlier in the show, she informed her co-stars she couldn’t go for intimacy for at least six months post-surgery. But she joked that she might give it a try within just two weeks.
Despite removing her “Betsy Mae” and achieving an impressive weight loss, Vannessa has admitted to struggling mentally with her new body. She offered words of encouragement to those who are on similar journeys. She told them to seek therapy. Vannessa said, “Mentally in my head, I’m still 400 pounds.” She explained how she still backs up around the counters and keeps her distance in lines.
Moreover, Vannessa shared that she turns sideways to move her belly when it’s not there. Before her surgery, her co-star, Ashely Sutton, made some predictions about Vannessa. She told her that Vannessa would be finally out of the “fat b***h club” as she wouldn’t be considered overweight anymore.
